Eurocopter EC175 Specs

The EC175 helicopter has eight large jet windows, two passenger doors, a flat door and two cockpit doors. The helicopter is equipped with a five-bladed Spheriflex main rotor and a three-bladed tail rotor. This rotor blade reduces vibration and noise while increasing the helicopter's lift and speed.

The helicopter is equipped with four standard fuel tanks that can carry 2,300 liters. Additional fuel tanks located under the cabin floor can carry more than 90 liters of fuel during long distance missions. The de-clutch capacity of the helicopter provides the benefit of an additional power unit (APU).

Eurocopter EC175 Engine and Performance

The EC175 helicopter is powered by two PT6C-67E turboshaft engines supplied by Pratt & Whitney Canada. Each machine has a length of 1.49 m and a diameter of 0.58 m. Each engine can produce an output power of 1,325 kW. The engine is equipped with a multi-stage axial and one-stage centrifugal compressor, backflow burner and one-stage compressor turbine. The time between engine repairs is 5,000 hours.

The EC175 helicopter can fly with a cruise speed of 285 km / h and a maximum speed of 315 km / h. The helicopter has a reach speed of 740 km h and a service ceiling of 6,000 m. The weight of the helicopter is around 2,038 kg, while the maximum take-off weight is 7,000 kg.
