Mil Mi-171E Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – Mil Mi-171E is a sophisticated multi-role helicopter developed by Mil Moscow and produced by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, a subsidiary of Russian Helicopter. This helicopter can be used in missions including search and rescue (SAR), disaster response, forest fire fighting and medical assistance in the field. The Mi-171E helicopter is a modern export variant of the Mi-8 medium multi-mission helicopter.

The Mi-171E helicopter airframe is made of high strength aluminum alloy. The helicopter propulsion system includes a five-bladed main rotor and a three-bladed tail rotor. Under hull is installed with a fixed cycle test landing gear system. Special equipment mounted on the helicopter includes search lights, rappelling equipment, loudspeaker stations, heli-buckets, and radio placement systems.

The Mi-171E helicopter can fly at a maximum speed of 250 km / h and has a maximum operational ceiling of 6,000 m. It can operate in temperatures ranging between 50 °C and -50 °C.

The Mi-171E helicopter cockpit integrates avionics and sophisticated navigation equipment from leading Western and Russian manufacturers. The cockpit instrumentation can be changed to match night vision goggles to improve flight safety during night time.

The helicopter is also equipped with a ground proximity warning system (GPWS) to alert the crew about the proximity of obstacles, or land or water to avoid a collision.

The Mi-171E helicopter cabin has an internal volume of 23 m³ and combines an optimal seating layout for carrying up to 26 passengers. For the operation of medical assistance, the helicopter cabin can be configured to accommodate up to 12 personnel injured on stretchers and medical personnel. The cargo version can carry up to 4,000 kg of cargo inside the cabin or in an external carrier.

The Mi-171E helicopter can be equipped with a new MBKhU air-conditioning system that provides comfortable temperatures on the cabin and flight deck. The right side of the cab is equipped with a loading ramp and an additional sliding door for easy loading / loading of loads and equipment.

The VIP version of the Mi-171E cabin is fitted with the interior of soft leather chairs and furniture made of fine wood. The cabin also integrates better sound and vibration isolation, and a new multi-media system with a large screen and audio control.

The price of the latest Mil Mi-171E helicopter is around US $ 12 million. This helicopter has been ordered and operated by operators from various countries around the world. In February 2016, Russian Helicopter sent Mi-171E helicopters to the Government of the Republic of Uganda.

A contract was signed with the Ministry of Emergency of Kazakhstan for the supply of Mi-171E helicopters in May 2014. The Ministry of Interior of Kazakhstan received a new Mi-171E helicopter in October 2013. All-purpose helicopters are intended for patrol and search and rescue missions, and transport personnel and cargo.

Argentina bought two Mi-171E helicopters from Russian Helicopter in 2011, to transport personnel and cargo to their polar stations in Antarctica and carry out search and rescue missions. This helicopter is also operated as the main transportation for Pakistani military forces.
