MD Helicopters MD 530F Cayuse Warrior Specs, Cockpit, and Price – The MD 530F Cayuse Warrior is an armed variant of the OH-6 Cayuse lightweight observation helicopter made by MD Helicopters Inc. from Mesa, Arizona, United States. It was designed to increase scout attacks, armed escort and air strike capability from the air force.

The MD 530F armed helicopter can be used in tactical, reconnaissance and transportation operations. It can also carry out air law enforcement, executive and personnel transportation, air medical services, search and rescue (SAR), fire fighting and other public safety missions.

The US Army's Non-Standard Rotational Wing Plane Project Office awarded a firm fixed price contract to MD Helicopters in September 2014 to produce and ship 12 additional MD 530F helicopters to support the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF). Six MD 530F were delivered in March 2015, while the remaining helicopters were turned over in the summer of 2015.

In October 2014, MD Helicopters was awarded a firm fixed price contract of $ 44.2 million by the US Army Signing Command, Redstone Arsenal to procure, install, integrate and test a weapon Equipment Mission (MEP) weapon system for 17 MD 530F helicopters. Integration and testing are carried out at the MD Helicopters facility in Mesa, Arizona.
