Enstrom 480B Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – Enstrom 480B is a turbine engined multi-role lightweight helicopter designed and manufactured by Enstrom Helicopter Corporation in the United States to meet the requirements of the Royal Thai Army. The Enstrom 480B helicopter can be used for a variety of operations including private transportation, flight instructions, law enforcement, power line patrols, executive transport (charter), electronic news gathering, pipeline patrols, aerial photography, sightseeing and cargo or passenger shipments.

Enstrom 480B made its first flight in 1989 and began operations in 1993. The helicopter is currently operated by 18 countries around the world. It was developed to replace the Bell 206B Jet Ranger and MD500. As of March 2010, around 90 helicopters were manufactured by Enstrom. Enstrom 480B has four variants, namely Enstrom 480, Enstrom 480B, Enstrom 480B Guardian and TH-28.

The Enstrom 480B propulsion system includes a three blade main rotor welded with a steel center pole and an extensible bush tail rotor. With the support of these engines, the Enstrom 480B can fly with a maximum speed of 231 km / h and a cruising speed of 212 km/ h. Helicopters can ride at speeds of 1,500 feet per minute.

Enstrom 480B has a range of 806 km and a service ceiling of 3,962 m. The maximum endurance is five hours. The helicopter weighs around 826 kg and the maximum take-off weight is 1,361 kg.

The Enstrom 480B avionics suite includes an altimeter, Astrotech LC-2 digital chronometer and compass. Two composite structural cameras are available in the helicopter. An outside temperature gauge is installed to measure the temperature inside and outside the helicopter.

The price of the latest Enstrom 480B helicopter is around US $ 1.2 million. The first 480B Enstrom was sent to Rotor Ukraine in February 2009. The helicopter can be used for travel and photography for commercial purposes as well as sales demonstrations.

Two Enstrom 480B helicopters were sold to India in February 2009. President Monarch International Aviation (MIA) bought the first helicopter, which can be used for commercial purposes as well as demonstrations. The second, which can be used for corporate transportation, was bought by Orissa Stevedores. This helicopter is equipped with leather seats and air conditioning for luxury VIPs to suit the hot weather in India.
