Airbus AS365 N3+ Dauphin Specs, Cockpit, and Price – AS365 N3+ Dauphin is a medium sized twin-engine multirole helicopter manufactured by Airbus Helicopters. Helicopters are used for various parapublic and police operations such as patrol, rescue, air surveillance, law enforcement, border protection, maritime surveillance, anti-smuggling, command and control, anti-terrorism and other special missions.
The first flight of AS365 N3+ helicopter took place on January 24, 1975. This helicopter can also be configured for missions, including search and rescue, passenger transportation, oil and gas, emergency medical services and passenger/ VIP transportation.
The AS365 N3+ helicopter is also equipped with electric hoists, mounting rappelling, cargo slings, search lights, hail, wire strike protection systems and electro-optical systems for search and rescue, as well as police operations.
The AS365 N3+ helicopter has a range of 923 km, when it is equipped with an optional additional fuel tank. The climbing rate is 6.7 m/ s and the flight time is around four hours. The hover-in-ground-effect and hover-out-of-ground-effect ceiling of the helicopter are 2,620 m and 1,150 m, respectively. The helicopter can operate at temperatures up to 50°C.
Safety equipment mounted on the helicopter includes emergency float gear, an external buoy raft, emergency exit lights (HEEL), automatic sound alarm device (AVAD), and a health and use monitoring system (HUMS/ UMS).
The helicopter is also equipped with a navigation suite including traffic warning and impact avoidance systems (TCAS), electronic ground proximity warning systems (EGPWS), radars and digital moving maps. This suite also has a digital audio communication system (DACS), Proline Radio 21 suite or the Garmin GNS430W radio suite, direction finder, CMA9000 flight management system and GPS.
